SSSC at Fengate 3rd June

A very hard surface covered with a sprinkling of dust & dry mud proved to be the undoing of many riders on what appeared to be some easy corners.

The Expert plus group saw a Kevin Gomm & Paul Willis battling on the track and thanking each other for the competition after crossing the line each time. Mark Tassi held 2nd place in Race 2 after some early antics that managed to somewhat mix up the front runners.

Schoolboy 125’s saw changes across the scorecard for every race but Jude Brown Won overall with wins in the 1st & 3rd races.

Inter 100’s Billy Raffle was shown the way home in the 1st race by Nathan Braithwaite but answered back by winning the 2nd&3rd races. With Charlie Heatley stealing 2nd place in race 3 but only holding 5th overall. Daniel Nobbs pulled the only maximum of the day in the inter-85’s with Adam Reynolds 2nd race 6th place didn’t help but 2nd in the 3rd held hi 2nd place for the day. In the juniors Mathew Hoyle was 1st for the day but the surprise was Carl Thomas-Andrews who from 3rd in race 1 droped to 9th and came back with the answers in the 3rd race by taking 1st and 40 points pulling him upto 5th. Last to mention but not on the track saw the Auto’s proving that small bikes were more than capable on this track that was getting tougher every race for the smaller bikes. With Jack Rowe being denied a maximum this week by Luke Capstick in the second race and Jordan Best improving to 3rd this week in front of Jake Milward  who beat him last time out at weedon.

The older Best “Nigel best” (Grandad) Injured earlier in the day had to stop racing for the day after proving to the youngsters that the ground was hard on the bones.
